So I was out and about today getting some things together before I go to visit my mom and I needed to stop by the pet store to get some food for the mice and a new collar for Zip because she lost her other one and we have NOT been able to find it and I need a bell on her since I'm taking the ferts with me to my moms house. Any way, So I stop to see the babies they had and there she was! A BEAUTIFUL cinnamon little female baby! I fell in love right there! She was SOOO sweet and playful! Thought she would be a PERFECT play mate for Miko, She acts just like Miko! I called the hubby and he said NO WAY until we file our taxes. we have to wait til the 14th because we itemize. I talked to the lady and she agreed to hold the baby for me until the 15th! YAY!! So the 14h I should be picking her up! The lady even said that if I needed more time that I could call and let them know since they don't sell ferrets that often anyway. Any how here is a pic I took of her. Sorry it's so bad it was on my phone. I'll be sure to post better pics when I get her home. I'm thinking about naming her Ginger. What do you guys think? Any suggestions??

What about Freya. I'm not sure but it sounds Irish to me and red hair cinnamon deserves an Irish/Gaelic/Celtic name

She's adorable. I hope that you get her. I always choose names a few days after they show up. In fact I've had a couple for the first few weeks get names like little one and such until their temperament and personality shines through and they tell you their names ciao

I love that little cinnamon lady! I'm glad you get to pick her up soon! Anyway, I'm with Heather. They tell you their names, for sure.

make sure you go back to visit and play with her as often as possible That way, she'll get used to you, and the pet store owner will know for sure that you're serious And congrats, by the way!

Thanks guys! I'm really excited! She had a some what sad story too. She was bought for some one for Christmas and when they realized how much work ferrets are, they brought her back. But like the lady said, at least they brought her back to the pet store and not just dump her some where. I'll probably kick around some more ideas for names until I get her, but yeah chances are she'll tell me her name. Just what ever her personality says I hope I can find a name to include the fact she has red hair. She's so cute! And I swear she is a whole lot like Miko. Miko's name is Japanese for priestess. I got the idea from my fav Anime Inuyasha. The female lead in the show is a "miko". I wanted to get a boy who was a cinnamon and name him Shippou (sounds like ship-oh) because in Inuyahsa there is a red fox kit (like a human fox hybrid looking thing) by that name. But that's a boys name so that wont work with this little girl. Hmmmm I'll have to think about it. I"M SO EXCITED!! I can't wait to get her home!

Ooo, ooo, if you want to go Japanese, I can totally help!
Kitsune: means fox but they are all over the shrines of ...
Inari: the rice goddess. Her shrines are covered in fox statues. And Inari and Miko could be very cute.
Kitsune are also the name of fox spirits, quite mischievous human possessors not so unlike our little heart thiefs. Enjoy dreaming of your little one!

I'm so excited for you - she looks so sweet. When you get your little one give her lots of kisses and snuggles from me. P.S. I have a baby name book, 100,000,000 names or something - and can help about finding a girl's name that goes well with the color red. For boys it's Rory and Russell, but that's a moot point.
