Yesterday I Put some finely coped up chicken that was lightly breaded with crushed kibble and by the end of the day it was gone. Most of it was Slink. She really took to it right off the bat and was chowing down. To make it more tempting I started out with the bowl moved to the level of the cage they usually nap in for snaking convince to encourage them. I was so happy that they (90% Slink) ate it all so I pulled a whole chicken liver out of the fridge and plopped it in their bowl just for the heck of it and went to bed. And absolute glee it was gone this morning. ;D
Encouraged I took out a second liver and halved it wanting to make sure. Immediately Slink's head popped out of her bed and she went down to the dish and chowed down til it was gone. It feels good to have her take to raw so readily and quickly. She had no interest in soup and went immediately to small chunks of raw. She was so happy she drug my/her favorite shirt over to the bowl and made a new bed next to it.
Richard is still being rather stubborn I'm going to try and get him some raw soup. I've had bad luck with making soup latly. I went through 2 broken blenders. My first try I found my blender decided to break that very day and when I bought a replacement it wasn't working... -.- Well I got another new one and I'm going to try and get him interested. He likes pastes and liquids so hopefully raw soup will go good for him

I'm also worried about how long my blender will last, lol. I feel like it's a super blender, as it chopped up 2 whole wings, bones and all!! But I get a nagging feeling that I'm gonna break it every time I use it to blend the meat :\ You're lucky with Slink. It's much easier to have your ferret eat the whole meat than to try to ratio a smaller portion of kibble every day

Congrats! That is a huge!!! Step. Try feeding a variety of proteins to Slink - to get her used to a bunch of different stuff. Once she's good on small chunks, start increasing the size of the chunks and ditch the kibble breading. As for Richard, some just need to take baby steps. Good luck on finding a good blender

Congratulations...that is a great success. Sounds to me that your little boy is going to give you a bit more trouble than your girl. Give yourself a pat on the back and give your little ones a great big hug from me Guys please watch your blenders, they're really not meant to do this type of thing. It's hard enough for a food processor and some of the meat grinders aren't even able to deal with bones. So please ladies be very careful with your kitchen tools. I burned out my blender years ago when I thought what damage could be done by throwing some gibbies in there. Cut up meats but try and avoid the bones. Even if you get a hand grinder (I purchased one of those, it's ancient but it grinds through turkey bones). It works awesome if you've only got a couple of ferrets it works great...consider it great exercise ciao

Slink ate 2 half dollar sized pieces already today. I left the bone next to the bowl so she could see what it was. She sniffed around and played with it a little bit but nothing more. Just wanted her to maybe associate the bone with meat of chicken.
Richard still thinks I'm poisoning him... he's good at making you feel bad to. After a stuffin he wants to crawls on your arms and cuddle as if to apologize for what ever it was he must have done bad to warent being poisoned.
Note: while typing this the bone got pulled into the bed she made next to the bole. She's defiantly enjoying herself.

Richard will take time. The key is patience :-) he'll get the point soon.
Yay for Slink!

In a surprising turn of events to Richard bones are great, so.
Meat = poison Bones = amazing
Now there is a mixed message.

Those are amazing steps For Richard, give him chicken wings for now. He'll get the meat along with the bone, and gradually get used to both He evidently feels a need to chew on something. Better bones than some things I can think of

Thats awesome. The meat will follow soon after. Better to gnaw on bones than on other stuff

I gave them a chicken thigh with most of the meat removed and in their bowl. Slink took a chunk and ate it while Richard ran away with the bone and tried to rip off the meat and set it aside so he could get at the bone. After a few minuets he gave up and started eating the bone meat and all. I even managed to get a few seconds of video of him eating last night. I guess it's a good thing he's a chewer.
