Jackie- I just used the furniture spot cleaner/scrubber they have there Angelfish- if the urine has gone into the carpet backing, the shampoo won't touch it. About the only thing that can be done then is to pull the carpet, and wash the backing, or replace it.

Thanks Sherry. I don't think it's in the backing because I don't smell anything (and trust me, my nose is very sensitive). I live in an apartment so, frankly, I'm not terribly worried about the carpet because they'll just rip it up and replace it when we leave anyway. I was just curious because they keep going in the same spot. I just covered the area in litter boxes though. Maybe that will help. We'll see tomorrow.

That could just be habit, then. I know mine have picked their favourite spots, and refuse to go elsewhere.

Yeah, mine have spots that they just prefer. I just put litter boxes Where they go.

Yeah. Mine don't care. They just seem to go in front, next to or in a completely differently spot when I do that.
