coming late to this thread, but glad to hear he got the help he needed. Hoping for an easy recovery for him. My Neka went through this in April. He's about 90% recovered at this point, only thing left for him is to get him back onto eating bone.
Stay strong, and yes this group is amazing!

hes home again now but no matter what i do he won't sit still  does anyone know how to keep him from wanting to run and play?

try keeping him in a small cage - I read something about putting food in a forage cup? - to give him something to do.

he's in a cat carrying cage right now but keeps rattling the bars and trying to get out, his surgery was on friday. how long does he need to be still for?

I had to put Neka in with his buddy Zeke so he would settle. I know they say not to put with another fert but it was the only way, he was frantic alone. Watch for over grooming if he is in with another.

:)Perhaps some rescue remedy for pets to calm him can help as well
