My 3 year old albino has been lethargic ever since this morning and I think he might've been throwing up this morning too (I checked the cage and cleaned it out and saw no puke) He has drank a little bit of water already but has not eaten yet. His back two legs seem to be wobbley when I let him walk a bit, then after about 4 steps he was too tired to do anything so I put him back into his cage. I currently can't go to the pet store to get anything or take him to the vet due to nobody wanting to take me there What should I do? I'm just really worried about him

Get some pumpkin into him, and alternate with Vaseline or lax. He sounds like he's got a blockage, and time is of the utmost urgency if he does. He needs to get to a vet now, rather than later. Try to explain to anyone who can take you, or grab a cab, bus, whatever there is.

Get your wee one to a vet asap. Do whatever you have to do to get there, but I'm inclined to agree with Sherry. Sounds like a blockage and it's not something to mess around with. Call friends, family, whomever....taxi service. There is nothing I can add to Sherry's message. I will light a healing candle for your wee one ciao

Try to give small amounts of water to keep him hydrated - and get to the vet.

I'm sorry to say, but if it's a blockage, tomorrow morning might be too late In the interim, keep trying to get some vaseline, pumpkin, anything that can move it through him.

Last night I was giving him a mixture of pumpkin, water and cat hairball stuff and at around 3am he pooped out a little bit of kleenex ( Since I guess that's all he's ate in the past while) and now 9 hours later he's jumping around and being happy like he use to be c: I'm gonna give him a little bit of the hairball and pumpkin stuff again right now, then feed him in a couple hours.

Thank heavens he's started to pass what all he'd eaten! Keep up with the pumpkin until he's had a couple of normal stools, and watch because blockages can move and then block them up again.

The things these wee ones will eat. Keep a close eye and continue to pump the pumpkin in until you're getting normal stools. Watch him closely....there is more than a couple on board here who thought that their little one had passed the obstruction only to find there was more of the stuff still in there. Good luck, please keep us updated ciao

Thnak goodness he didn't have any issues passing it. Good job catching it early. This is another example of how important pumpkin is to a ferret owner and why everyone should have some ;D

Thank goodness....silly wee things. You would think with all the trouble we have getting them to eat what they're supposed to they wouldn't pop the first squishy thing they find into their mouth and eat it ciao

Ugh. Sonny ate toilet paper one day. Thankfully we use Scott and it passed through without a problem. These little animals are on a death wish sometimes.
