Ok, Katt how do I get one? I've seen them used before and they're great. I was seriously thinking of getting a skinning knife, but I think this would work better. I've got to hold though, my serated knife cut through a 10 lb rabbit without any trouble (had a greater time gutting the frozen bunny, not near as easy as a 5 lbs rabbit )
ciao
PM me. There are several kinds and they are VERY cheap here. I am in LOVE with my Ulus. Can't imagine feeding raw without one! There are some simple ones with a little stand (the ones I have pictured) for $2.99 and then Flat Rate shipping to Canada. Honestly all you really need is a simple one. They work well. The more expensive ones just have different handles and some come with wooden cutting boards. I will be making a post soon actually with the new designs they have, the options, and prices of shipping. I use PayPal.
They are not as sharp as they could be, so you will probably want to sharpen them. I find they work well dull too though. (My old one hasn't been sharpened in years - works great! ) They also work bet if you have a wooden cutting board. But I think plastic would work too. Jackie has a glass cutting board and said it dulled the knife out pretty quickly.
I am going to the store today so I will try to get pictures of all of the options, and the prices, and make a new post. My only request to anyone getting a knife is patience. The PO is mainly open while I am at work. I try to ship things as early as I can, but I often get off of work late so sometimes it takes me a little longer than I like to get to the PO while it is open. I am just doing this to share an amazing tool with people, I'm not doing resale for profit or anything. That's illegal actually. ;D
