Hey guys! So, I'm not sure if I do, but I think I might have strep throat (I get it a lot but haven't had it in a long time) but I don't know if I can give it to my ferrets. I have a mask on now, but I didn't realize I may have strep until later in the day and I gave them kisses earlier today and I'm really worried. Can I give them strep? What should we be looking out for?

Yeah, ferrets can get strep, but it’s not too common in them. You have to get spit from coughing or sneezing on them and then groom it off, or … kissing them, haha, sorry to say. They might be fine after just a small exposure and fight it off.

Thank you! My throat is feeling fine, but just to be sure I haven't been giving kisses and it's so sad But I want to make sure they're safe! I wore a mask as soon as I realized my throat was hurting so I was wearing one all day that day, but since I wasn't having any issues yesterday or today, I haven't worn it but I've still sort of kept my distance in certain ways to make sure!
