Hi! my name is Evelyn and im a happy owner to my fur baby Winslow. This past week my boy stopped eating, and the vet couldn’t figure out what was wrong. she guessed gastroenteritis and gave us pepcid, amox and carnivore care. He finished his amoxicillin on sunday and has been doing great! he is back to himself that whole time he continued to show no interest in his kibble, and since he loved the carnivore care so much, i decided to switch to stella and chewys FDR. up until yesterday i was adding a little carnivore care into his soupies. I’ve read it’s recommended at least 5-7 morsels (or more) per meal but he seems to want more, so i give him around 10-12 twice a day. last night he started eating his kibble (instinct ultimate protein) again. i’ve read it’s okay leave kibble out in between meals. HOWEVER i noticed tonight he had some seedy poops. I’m wondering if his belly is getting confused with the kibble or if it’s the transition to FDR all together? i really only noticed the seedy poops today after he started eating his kibble again. I took away the kibble for now to see if it’s the culprit. how long would it take typically to adjust to a new diet? Those who feed FDR what is your method for mixing proteins? a new type everyday? mix all in one meal? cycle through a specific protein until the bag runs out and then pick a new one? what’s the best method? i’m new and have so many questions! Thank you for your time
