Okay so I am very confused. I want to feed raw, right now grinds would be better than me stressing out over frankenprey (I want to get there eventually). So if I ordered like a whole fine grind would that be balanced? Obviously I would have to get a variety to make it balanced, but would that be a good diet or does Frankenprey have something whole grinds dont? I want to order from my pet carnivore but I know some of their grinds can be unbalanced and not like have heart and stuff. But I was going to get like the pork, chicken, turkey, young beef to start and I want to make sure they actually would have what I need.

It’s true, My Pet Carnivore does not add enough heart for cats and ferrets. Their food is perfectly suited to dogs. They don’t disclude the heart from their whole prey grinds, they just don’t add any extra in. Otherwise their grinds are good, I’ve ordered their beaver and muskrat before to get novel proteins I couldn’t get anywhere else. You’re going to have to supplement hearts if you want to use these guys’ grinds. I’d say add 5% heart if you get a small one like chicken (larger hearts like beef and pork don’t have as much taurine).
