Okay Ive uploaded a picture of my girl, Carrot, sleeping peacefully. And then she just pooped right now, its slimier than usual, maybe due to the egg, but thats about the size of it, I dissected it and found nothing. Excuse her accidental poop on the carpet. I put my finger there so it'd be easier to guess the size. When I got home from work today, I believe she pooped (hard to say cus I keep both in the same cage while I am away, but it looked liked there was some pumpkin in the beginning of the poop strand) something slightly larger in diameter, I dissected this one and found nothing.

In terms of allergic reactions, would it be more server if one was eating raw rather than the kibbles? For example, Carrot has always had chicken protein based kibbles, with less 'symptoms' than having raw chicken.

she is sooo adorable. I love her black nose and dark mask. As for reactions, yes it probably would be more severe with raw, because kibble has other ingredients mixed in. But ANY reaction means you should eliminate that source. There are other kibbles available that don't include chicken, but they cost more. That said, there are other raw options available as well.

The stools don’t look TOO too thin, how thick are your other ferret’s stools? They are very wet for kibble though. I’m betting it is a food allergy. Yes, the reaction would be more severe to raw for the reasons UncleJoe said. You can try ground beef or pork to start out if you want to try to stick with raw, or try another kibble without chicken. Watch out for chicken bone and liver in the ingredients list too, which are sometimes added to other advertised proteins because chicken is cheaper to source.

Thank you :') she is a beauty, and just the SWEETEST thing. My boy Buehler is wild lol. Carrots personality has basically stayed the same throughout this, as well as her appetite. Only once she stopped eating and changed behavior, which I took her to the vet for an enema and so began this.
I've just realized/remembered that her kibbles are a mix of duck and chicken protein, so maybe thats been helping. And I always read the ingredient lists, good advice though. Her poops are normally the size in the picture but the texture is usually drier, almost sandy kibble poops. Not too dry though, they are drier than my boys poops who eats mostly raw and sometimes he steals kibbles. Honestly I think they look pretty healthy, especially in terms of what she was pooping, but the thin size always concerned me. Ive got some teething rings coming in the mail that hopefully I will be able to now leave these toys alone with my ferrets. My other ferrets stools are usually as thick as my finger I'd say. So to me it seems like a big difference. Carrot only pooped a big glob the size of my finger her first poop home from the vet when I had to get an enema done on her. Since then, however, the size of her poops have been consistent with the above photo, and this is even true when I pulled some fabric from her poop last week.

Would anyone know where to get eggs that aren't chicken? I haven't looked for it on raw websites but I don't recall seeing it either.
Also, Im a little confused how whole prey is incorporated into their diets and how much to give, can Carrot only eat whole prey?

Thank you for the Asian grocery store tip, Ill check mine out thankfully I have a lot of options for that.
The chart kinda confused me at first ( I think I get it now in terms of basically 14 meals a week 7 whole prey/alt and 7 frankenprey menu ), and I wasn't sure the amount to feed with a mixture of whole prey or kibble with raw frankenprey in terms of the weight.
Ive read a lot that most ferrets will regulate themselves pretty well with food and not be overweight, so to just learn the amount they kinda eat every day. Their current raw diet, I feed them 90-100grams a day, per ferret. Im seeing that whole prey is a little pricey, and Ive also read that adult whole prey are best, so Im thinking small mice for whole prey and Ill start with maybe one per week and increase the increment by one whole prey meal a week for carrot until her poops seem healthy. And then on whole prey days I guess Ill just see how much food they usually eat from the other meal so I can meal prep better.

As a menu for carrot what I have brainstormed so far is this (nothing will be chicken):
am pm m whole prey Muscle Meal t RMB Organ Meal ( 1/2 heart 1/4 liver 1/4 other sec. organs) w RMB RMB r whole prey OM f RMB RMB s RMB OM s RMB RMB w/ egg
I feel like this is a good start menu with Carrot. I am open to suggestions, however, and like I said before the amount of food I give her especially with the whole prey being new to me. But once again, thank you all SO much. I intended to begin the search for food today in stores, starting this menu in the next few weeks. I may also use kibbles as the alternative meal to start instead of whole prey to get carrot back on the raw diet (and I should switch my boys menu to this as well since he always happens to find kibbles and eats them) I also don't want to waste the kibbles for they were pricey. If anyone has comments for my menu, they are welcome, as well as tips for feeding whole prey and switching to whole prey!
I will try to post down the road to update on the status of my Weasley family.
