Hello,
I forgot my old username and had to create a new account, but found this forum very helpful with my Belle a few years ago. I lost Belle at 10 years old in January 2020 to insulinoma.
I have a new friend named Hope, and I was alarmed to see her showing signs of a possible seizure (?) this morning, as she is only 2 years old. She got real spastic with a lot of energy on the floor, like when they run out of their pen to scratch. I noticed her back was arched more than normal and her backside was rotating counter-clockwise a few steps, then she would fall over on that side. She did this backside movement a few more times, then appeared exhausted. About 15 minutes later, she appeared to be walking normally, and showed no sign of hind leg weakness.
My worry is that she had a small seizure. I have noticed she is sleeping a lot and is only active, 2-3 hours a day, but attributed this to being normal sleepy ferret. Has anyone seen this backside movement before? I have a vet appointment tomorrow, and really worried this is a symptom of insulinoma. She is so young, and I am still broken hearted from losing Belle.
I promised after the experience with Belle that I would only feed any new ferret Wysong Epigen 90 and not the Marshall kibble, and have held true to that, but unfortunately I have given Hope the Nbone Salmon chews with some frequency, and regrettably did not properly investigate the high carb ingredients. So... I worry.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have not had any ferrets with seizures like that. I think Unclejoe has had ferrets with seizures. Maybe he will chime in later. Do tell us what vet says,

I have had 3-4 that had mild seizures, no worse than a slight twicth/tremor, or staring into space. All turned out to be insulinoma. That would be my GUESS from your description. 2 were males that were fed Purina Cat Chow their whole lives until I got them at their 2nd birthday. Definitely get glucose checked.
