Hello everyone! Popping back in to let yall know how things are going.
Just took Aron and Sean to the vet the other day for a yearly checkup. The vet checked their fecal for Chaggas (they had it when I first got them and treated it with anti parasite medicine she gave me) and it came back negative. She was amazed how healthy they were and said "These were the healthiest, best looking ferrets she's ever seen". For me, these are the first ferrets I've owned that actually developed silky soft fur. Even the two generations back of ferrets I've raw fed didn't have coats this soft. The changed happened when my pet food supplier ran out of my usual duck and turkey grounds so I had to use chicken grounds. I was worried that they would develop diarrheia from chicken allergies but they never did, but that was it. With them I've just been feeding them chicken grounds (liver & hearts included), turkey necks and beef organ ground (liver, hearts and lungs), supplementing with salmon oil every week.
