Well my first time making soup didnt go as planned. I bought a new blender and all the ingredients for the soup today. When I got home and went to blend up the raw meat the blender started smoking. Now I only have partial soup.

Yup, that doesn't sound like it went that well. Did you put liquid in the blender with the meat? You can't put bone in the blender either. Maybe a better option is to get a meat grinder.

Yes. if you r wanting to make soupie, you can use using human grade bone meal instead of bone. U can use KAL bone meal powder or something like that. Most often I used eggshells (dried over night) that I ground up in a cheap coffee bean grinder(Walmarts). I wished I could have afforded a grinder or I would have done that. It would have been perfect.
I have put skinned and gutted mouse and rats in my Bullet before:) I have also put cut up quail in Bullet-----but please, please run your finger all through soupie of quail---I have found some nasty needle like bones. You think it is all ground up and there they r.
Usually younger ferrets will eat chipped up bits of meat---but if not, do soupie. My baby from Petco thoroughly enjoyed gnawing on chicken wings. Of course you can always leave a piece of meat in cage overnight to see if an older ferret will take the bait. Most likely not, but I have been surprised by a story here and there. Usually it is the one year olds or thereabouts.

first time I tried soup i just put meat in and it ended up a mess wrapped around the blade. so you should try some water in there. I switched to purchased grinds (turkey and chicken) and added supplements.
