I feed my ferrets 100% raw, but its a ready made mix that is 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% offal. Its delivered the next day in a freezer pack, ready to go into my freezer. I defrost a few packs at a time and keep them in my fridge in a sealed container away from human foods.
(I live in the UK)
I buy a selection of different proteins; chicken, beef, salmon, venison (which they don't seem to like), rabbit, veal, lamb, turkey and game meats (which, despite containing venison, they do like!)
On a weekly basis they get 4 or 5 of the proteins above, and its mixed up every week.
I also serve out the foods in our utility room, which has its own sink, to avoid contact with our food, but if you have good hygiene its not a problem anyway.
I don't feed any dry food, except a tiny amount in a treat ball - and not every day.
At the moment my boys are only 3 months old, so they're fed 4 times a day. I'll drop this to twice a day when they're older most likely....but maybe not
They seem to love the food, and its what their breeder fed them as well
