Everyone please welcome the newest member of my family, Igor! We all believe Igor is the reincarnated spirit of Paco, who was the first of my ferrets to cross the rainbow bridge. He's so playful (and bitey!) and wiggly and chubby and sweet, and he's the most wonderful little guy. I can't wait to get to know him more. I've had him for about two and a half weeks now, and I'm switching bedding with my other two babies (who are two now ... and will forever be babies). I'm so excited to have him be a part of our family! <3

Thank you, everyone! He's definitely a handsome & adorable little guy. I'm not really sure how old he is, they said three weeks so I don't trust that, lol. I'm getting him into the vet (finally) early this week, so I'll ask about that then. I'm guessing around 8-10 ?? maybe? I may not be the best at this though, haha! And thank you! I hope the intros go well, too, but I'm worried about Cooper. He was fine with my older guy, Misio, but he's already kind of freaking out a little. No green poops or anything but getting pretty stressed nonetheless. I'm using Bach's Remedy for now. I was worried he and his brother had been by themselves too long (just like 5 months ... but they'd been through a lot of trauma, and it might make them more territorial). Speaking of, then, have any of you had experience with ferrets who have been through traumatic events and perhaps the trouble that comes with territory/feeding/even some behavioral things? (I should probably make a new thread at this point, lol)

So precious!
No feeding issues other than one trying to pull food (frankenprey) out of the others mouth. No fighting about it.
I did have to keep a male separated from girls after one whipped up on him---he never forgave. It resulted in dividing my house in two sections for them. After fight and the next day, my girl was holding her leg up trying to walk. It was broke. I never tried to get them together after that. When I switched out places to give them variety in house, he could smell where they had been and dooked and tried to hunt them down---very interesting to watch.
Also, a new girl was finally accepted by two other girls but it took a few weeks. I had plenty of tunnels for her to go into. They never went in tunnels after her. I guess they thought better of it. I did spray them with water bottle when they got into it. Wasted time on that:))
However for babies---- after my Abbey shook my baby by the neck and had her limping, I waited until she was older before letting her be with her. I may have waited until she was six months old before reintroducing her. It is been so long ago I can't recall for sure. Thought Abbey might want to play mother--- hahaha.
Some people do have good luck with their newbies--I did have 3 ferrets that would accept anybody into their fold. They were precious sweeties.

3 weeks? closer to 3 months, lol. This is lumboo 's kit at 4 weeks. imgur.com/zO3jnKs.jpgFerrets are themselves. I have introduced a couple dozen to newbies, usually 2 at a time, for years before I had a problem. But those 2 males took a year to accept the one or 2 others they did not like. Hope it goes well for you. It usually does.
