Hi. Sorry your little one is dealing with this. First, how old? Second, is there any chance he has a liver infection? No tumors on the liver? I had a ferret that had lymphoma, and his distal nodes (axillary, inguinal) were ok, but his liver puffed up. Big time. at the end it looked like he swallowed a baseball and he could barely walk. I haven't had a ferret on diazoxide, but it takes some time for "pred belly" to develop without other conditions. High LFTs are concerning. What are his BG values? How was insulinoma diagnosed? 3 of our 4 insulinomas were initially spotted by lack of appetite and resulting weight loss. It was only after we noticed that we had their BG checked.
