Wow sounds like you have been doing a lot of prepping!! That is awesome!! Oh my, you will be quite busy before your holiday and then when you get back. lol It's so exciting!!! Probably for the first little while, you will want o keep a very close eye on the ferrets while out in the garden playing and follow their every move to see if there's anything you have missed. Like things they can climb up on to try and escape and fall and get hurt. Yes on those rainy days you can always bring them in the house to play in their playpen.

Oh, will definitely be watching their every move while they are in the garden - for the first couple of months at least....or more likely every time they are out there. I know from our young cat (not so young anymore but still very kitten like in behaviour) that pet proofing is a constant game of wits. Human v Floofles They do have loads of areas in the garden to dig, explore, climb and hide in. I am also going to get tumble dryer condenser tubing to fix by the fencing, so they can hide and climb in those too I have bought them breakaway collars to wear whilst in the garden, even though they will be a pain to get on and off, but as they have a bell, it will be easier to hear where they are. I do hope they are OK with their harnesses too, because we have loads of little parks that they will like exploring if only I know they are safely on their leads Roll on 1 August......

Yeah I wish I had put my ferret's harness on more often because he isn't use to it and doesn't like it much. But then again my ferret doesn't like the outdoors much. lol He runs for the door every time. August 1st will be here before you know it!!! So excited for you!!

Yeah, I don't feel comfortable letting my ferrets outside, not until I finish a fence all around the property, putting slabs under the picket fence on one side and some slabs blocking any gaps around the back porch.
