One of my ferrets, Scarlett, was prescribed prednisolone a week ago, and she *hated* it. Getting her to take it was a struggle every single time, and I hated putting her through that twice a day when she already wasn't feeling well. So I asked her vet to send the prescription to a compounding pharmacy to get it flavored. She did, and I chose the chicken flavor. The difference has been night and day. Scarlett doesn't fight me at all during medication time, in fact she seems to even like the taste a little. So, if you have to give your ferret prednisolone for any reason, see if you can get it compounded with chicken flavor for a (hopefully!) more pleasant experience for both of you. It worked like a charm with my fert!

Yeah that's what we've used, but not everyone was a fan of taking a syringe anyway. I never did try just putting it on a plate... I'm glad Scarlett took to it, and may she live long and prosper.spockfert by unclejoe1158, on Flickr
