When shedding season comes it helps to give them a morning comb over with a double-toothed flea comb, it'll pull out all the loose hair which will keep most of it out of your house and less in your ferret.  When using the flea comb, run it down on it's side in an angle.

Also give them some egg whites with their meals and a teaspoon of salmon oil once a week, every few days if it's bad. The egg whites will help break down any hair in their system and the salmon oil will coat their throats of any irritation.

During shedding season you can give them a raw egg each once or twice a week. Give the whole egg, just scrabble it up.
