Do they really help with the smell?
Is this a good one?
Hunter HT 1701
Or suggestions on good brands/models?
Thanks

I do not know much about that subject but I would stay clear of anything that produces ozone--- so if that brand doesn't do that it may be just fine. I know my mother uses a tower like that and she likes it---don't know if it is a Hunter. www.epa.gov/indoor-air-quality-iaq/ozone-generators-are-sold-air-cleaners#:~:text=harmful%20to%20health.-,When%20inhaled%2C%20ozone%20can%20damage%20the%20lungs.,body%20to%20fight%20respi Things to do 1. Keep clean blankets in cages ---I don't use the traditional ferret shelf covers. Easier to fold a baby blanket and put on shelf. I go to Goodwill and get them. 2. Wipe down shelves in cage with vinegar and water. 3. While I do have some potties in house---I have gone mostly to puppy pads. I feel like i am getting more bang for the buck, and litter can be expensive if trying to keep those potties clean. I do not have a smell issue ----could be that is because mine are on a raw diet . They say diet can affect a ferret's smell and pooh smell--- like if one is on a fish based diet. My sister has a very sensitive nose to ferrets. The ones that she made a comment about were on kibble---even then they did not smell to me:)

Well, only noticing a little smell difference. I may get the Germ Guardian 4 in 1 to try.
Anyone know what the difference is between 2 in 1 and 4 in 1?
Thanks

We use one, and think it helps a little, but keeping on top of litter changes and scooping poop helps more IMHO.
