Hi, my name is Daniel, I'm new to the forum and I am a first time ferret owner, my ferret is called rocket, he's 23 weeks and has a raw diet, I feed him balanced minces but on two occasions he has got pieces of bone stuck in his teeth which causes us both stress, I was wondering if this is usual for ferrets or is this something to be concerned about, everything is a bit scary for a newbie and I'm sure you can all relate, any advice would be great, thanks

It's fairly normal. As they gain experience they are generally able to dislodge the bone themselves, even though it may take a while. I have had more than once over the last decade plus where I have assisted. I find holding in a scruff tight to my body, and using a qtip to dislodge the bone is normally enough.

Thanks, I can live with that, just glad to know it's common
