Idk why the vet would be against updating the implant. It has been demonstrated to be an effective prophylactic, and the vet generally makes 100% markup on them.

he has pushed back on everything i have asked about so far. it has taken me since september to get him to give the “go ahead” on melatonin. do you think the brand/ingredients i mentioned in my previous post would be alright?

Make the appt, and tell him you prefer doing it this way since you are the one paying for it. Can you access a different vet?

The less ingredients it has the better. Try looking for one with less “other” ingredients. I’ve seen some with only one extra ingredient. Wish you and your ferret good luck.

Ils best to look for ones with less ingredients. There are many out there with only one extra ingrédient, it just takes some time to find. Wishing you and your ferret good luck.
