Oh boy, went to doc yesterday with a sore throat and found out I had strep. 10 days of Amoxicillin. I also have to use a new toothbrush every 2 days and gargle with salt water frequently. I wondered if I could give this to my ferrets, and I found this about streptococcus pneumonia. www.cfsph.iastate.edu/FastFacts/pdfs/streptococcosis_F.pdfI don't know if strep can turn into pneumonia in ferrets or what.

Streptococcus pneumoniae is the name of a bacteria that results in pneumonia. "Strep throat" doesn't become pneumonia because it's caused by a separate bacteria, known as group A streptococcus. If your ferrets do get what you have, you won't have to worry about it becoming a lung infection at least. I hope you feel better soon! Best of luck

Hope you feel better soon! Don't want to give strep to your ferrets! They have a harder time garging. LOL

Hope you recover soon, strep sucks. Just don’t go kissing the ferrets for a while and it should be ok.
