Hi, just acquired 3 ferrets, 2 Brothers - Reggie and Ronnie (classic polecat markings) plus a albino (Charlie) They are all 4 months old and were together from the start. I say newish ferret hooman as I had a ferret years ago (Fergus) he was 11 when he died At first the wife and I only bought Reggie and Ronnie as the white one was already reserved but a week later we discovered the lady changed her mind so we snapped him up as to reunite the 3 little noodle bears. I was wondering what the best liner would be for their enclosure? They are outside ferrets atm in a 6 x 2 x 4ft hutch awaiting an Avairy to be converted for the little scamps. In their 2 separate sleeping quarters it's decked out with blankets plus one of those hay house things. What would be the best thing to line the run area of the hutch? Tried straw until I saw it wasnt recommended so removed that straight away. Atm I'm using wooden pellets, I've seen some people use Linoleum is this a good liner? Many thanks in advance

Kiln dried wood pellets are good and cheap if they aren’t litter trained, linoleum or vinyl is good if they are. You can also use newspaper pellets but I think those cost more than wood, not sure, haven’t cross shopped. They’re probably similar prices if you buy them as small animal or cat litter but vastly different if you buy the wood pellets as fuel for a grill or smoker, or in mega bags designed for livestock.

Thanks for the info, yeah the wood pellets I'm using is cat litter kiln dried. I'll stick with that as they're not yet litter trained. Quite cheap at £6.50 for a 30 litre sack, lasts a long time 👍 I'll get some photos up soon
