The perfect plan.

Humanity doesn't stand a chance! The ferret sideways kick to knock something over is one of my favorite ferret things.

Mine too. I also love how they groom.

I like how they can figure out how to open drawers and doors. I've had a lot of dogs and kats and only one kat could even open a door

Whenever I take a fert out with me and someone asks if they are "easy keepers," to use a horse term, I say, no not even. they get into absolutely everything to the point they can kill themselves by eating something that's not even food (DIP Scamps), they are rarely perfect littering outside the cage, they can hide for hours and worry you sick that they escaped (they do that, too: Goober, Erik, Erika) and most of them are not super affectionate, but most are playful. Until they get older. And older could be as young as 3-4. If you are a ferret person, you'll be hooked at first sight and for life. I tell them, seriously, they can be a lot of fun, but if you want a loyal, loving pet that would die for you, get a dog. ferrets are a lot of work and they're not for everyone.

Oh, I discourage people too from getting a ferret----true ferret lovers are a special breed of people.

I usually warn people too. Ferrets can be a handful and not act like other pets. They are certainly something special but not for everyone.
