They're not even safe in the cage! Dar24 put Goober to bed last night and all seemed well. This morning when she took him out he couldn't bear weight on his left front foot. It was red and swollen. Somehow he managed to break it overnight. His PCP wasn't in today but her partner consulted her by phone and wrapped up his whole arm. he gets around ok by just holding it up. It's the same paw that he had ripped out a nail a couple years ago. sheesh IMG_3299 by unclejoe1158, on Flickr IMG_3298 by unclejoe1158, on Flickr video IMG_3302 (1) by unclejoe1158, on Flickr

Aww, poor Goober! Looks like he's got a peg leg. He ought to have a pirate hat and an eyepatch, maybe a tiny parrot for his shoulder.

Oh no, poor Goober! I hope he heals quickly. thank you. as much as he hates the cast, it doesn't slow him down a lot we went to the store today to visit a friend, and on the way there he jumped up onto my driver seat. I had to replace some tape at the end of the cast and I could tell that his paw is still pretty sensitive. Bottom line is he's getting on ok

Well, He was putting weight on his peg leg and the cast was itching him terribly at the elbow, so Dar24 and I cut and removed the cast. It took him a few minutes to get used to the idea that it was gone, but he's now walking more or less normally, tho he's been asleep most of the day since. The foot was a little swollen still and there are visible scabs on a couple toe pads. Wonder what he little bugger did to himself?

the swelling is going down and he's walking on it more or less normally. It looks like he's been licking it a lot probably from itching. I'll post a pic or 2 after work.
