Kicking myself for not having checked sooner--the Asian market I normally get 75% of Rocky's food is closed for the next two weeks. I opted to swing by a pet store on the way back home and pick up some bags of Stella & Chewys for cats, just to cover my bases and have a full diet on hand (there are butchers around me, but they're mainly wholesalers or custom processing).
I started him on it today, and he already gobbled down 1/4 cup this morning--which is the suggested portion size for a 6lb cat per DAY, and the amount he normally eats per meal anyway--and is shamelessly begging for more. I'm trying to be firm about not letting him pig out, because he can be stubborn with the frankenprey and try to eat only the "easy" stuff as it is, but gosh I feel like a horrible pet mom.
How often do you FDR feeders give bone-in portions for teeth cleaning? I still have some rabbit leftover and I may pick up some wingtips or gizzards for extra chewing.
My Pet Carnivore has a delivery stop near me that I might take advantage of at the end of the month. I normally can't due to my work schedule but I'm off work due to the virus.
Anyone else having to adjust their meal plans?
