One of the toughest decisions you'll ever need to make as a responsible keeper is saying no when an animal clearly needs help. I have seen many people take on too many animals and not be able to cope, so we must weight up the impact on both ourselves, our loved ones, and other animals already within the household. Cheers I agree with you 100% the hard part of this is knowing I can help and not helping. I have the time, money, resources and space to help. The biggest potential problem is another ferret not getting along with the girls, but I have 2 spare bedrooms and could easily keep them separated. I know I have to draw the line somewhere but I feel awful that I'm not helping this boy

I totally understand it is a hard thing. Maybe their is an easier small way to help him I don't know enough of the situation or your location but could word of mouth help him find the right place. Is it a situation that posting his info might help find someone who is looking for him?

I would ideally keep 2 of the fosters making my total 3 but I would hate to re-home a lonely ferret I can't know there history but 2 look a similar age. So I am guessing that they have been together. How tightly do ferrets bond would I be a jerk to re-home one in a home with another ferret. These guys have already been through so much.

Having said that, sometimes you get ferrets that just want to be alone. This shouldn't be the sole basis for decisions however. Cheers

I have a 1/2 serious 1/2 joke dream of owning a ferret farm (not a mill!) that is solely designed for ferrets so I could have like a 100 of them (lots of rescues and fosters and even boarding) There would be acres and acres of totally awesome ferret stuff. Like a barn full of little hidey holes for ferrets to sleep in and instead of hay there would be tons of blankets! And there would be a ferret sized play area like the ones they (used?) to have at McDonald’s complete with a ball pit and lots of tunnels and slides. And then of course lots of cut grass for ferrets to run and hop in and a bunch of swimming pools full of rice and beans and dirt and packing peanuts and a huge castle maze! And I would probably keep a chicken coop for fresh meats and eggs and other yums animals! Plus there probably wouldn’t be a rat or mice problem because ferrets would learn to snack on them! It would definitely be a full time job and there would be sooo much poop but it would be the craziest, happiest little ferret oasis

Hehe, now I can't get the image of Ferrets enjoying themselves in a soft play area and then relaxing outdoors in the late afternoon sun out of my mind.
In the evening they'd organise tea dances and have guest speakers (probably a local duck) to give talks and maybe even blanket arranging courses.
Cheers

That's fantastic bishop24 in all seriousness there is a real need for both rescues and breeders so while you may need to work your way up your dream isn't unrealistic. Do it!
