Hey guys. Just wanted to hear from other ferret owners what kind of litter you use for your babies? I currently put a puppy pad in the litter box & then put some Marshall's Ferret litter on top. It's worked perfectly fine since day one but just wanted to see what other stuff is out there that is safe for ferrets! Does anyone use cat litter?

I use back2nature recycled paper litter. It's not got any dust which is important for their sensitive respiratory tract.
Not the cheapest, but works brilliantly.

I use Yesterday’s News cat litter, the unscented kind. It’s made of recycled paper and is dust free

I think that's pretty much the same stuff as far as I can work out.
Just a different name each side of the pond.

I use World's Best Cat Litter. It's made of corn. It's quick clumping, outstanding odour control, 99% dust free, easy scooping, pet & people friendly and planet friendly too. It's made from corn. It's even flushable and septic safe.

I use the wood pellets that are sold as stall bedding for horses--basically compressed sawdust. Tracks something awful but it's cheap so I just sweep a lot. I am able to flush it as well, although proceed with caution depending on your pipes.
Note: these pellets will often say they have pine, which is normally advised against for small animals, but the oils are processed out of this type of bedding so there is no danger.

I used to use Yesterday's News unscented litter, but now I use World's Best Multi-Cat litter.

I use puppy pads alone on floor--definitely in favorite corners. I also use Marshall's potty pans. I just put a paper towel or two in them. I use to use Yesterday's News unscented.

I second puppy pads, they're awesome during potty training and for dark favourite corners when free roaming or out playing.

I go to petsmart and buy their 20# bag of "all things living" paper litter. It's only like 15$ at petsmart. And they usually have buy one get one 50% off. Also if you use pee pads definitely get a costco membership and buy their Kirkland peepads. They're 15$ and they work great.
