For the past week my husband and I have both had the flu. As luck would have it we got sick at the same time. I have been very cautious about being around my babies because I don't want them to end up sick. Taking all the precautions, such as gloves and face mask and pretty much not going anywhere near their room except to feed and daily chores. It has been really hard because we usually play with them anytime they are up and haven't been able to since we have been sick. So my question is how soon after all our symptoms have stopped can we start spending time with them again? I don't want to go in to soon and have them end up sick.

Generally speaking you should no longer be contagious around 5-7 days after showing symptoms of flu.
Obviously it depends on which strain of flu and general hygiene etc, but it sounds like you're on top of that with mask and gloves etc.
Cheers
