Hi, My name is Graziella and I have been wanting a ferret for a while now and have been researching them every day for months. I am thankful for finding this forum and being accepted. I am so excited that I just spent the last three hours (from 10pm to 1am) putting my ferret cage together even though I'm not bringing him home until February haha, I'm very excited 😅 I'm naming him Beans and I can't wait to show him to you guys when he arrives.

Thank you Charlie! Yes I am so excited I'm even making my own fleece liners for his cage and I've just spent all my money on tunnels, a ball pit and just a whole bunch of things for him. I'm going to spoil him rotten haha! I also found the frankenprey menu and I'm going to be feeding him that which I am so glad I found on the forum because I was so afraid of feeding raw but now I am a lot more confident knowing that I have so much information on this forum

Welcome to the forum.
As other's have said already, lots of research will help you on your fuzzy journey.
Beans sounds like a great name, and it sounds like Beans is going to be very spoiled indeed.
Frakenprey is a really good choice and with a little planning can be very easy. I feed it to our two girls and they love it.
I weigh out and bag individual meals before freezing them. It takes a little time to get used to the size of meals, but Beans will let you know what amount to feed. Rule of thumb is to have a few mouthfuls left after each feed, and remember to leave it in the cage for 6-12 hours depending on the number of feeds. Most young ferrets will eat 4 meals per day, but adults are happy with two meals 12 hours apart.
Also, don't be put off if beans doesn't seem hungry, ours would often rush to see what food was on offer, only to walk away. That worried me initially, but they do go back and eat, usually as soon as you walk away.
I hope beans gives you as much happiness as our two, and don't forget that there's really no dumb questions, so feel free to ask.
Cheers from the UK

Thank you! I'm wondering how much should I give each meal? I've heard some people say for example one chicken neck in the morning as their first meal but I can't seem to find weather I need to find him more at once or not. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I feed our girls around about 55 grams of food each at every feeding time.

I did the same once I got him his Ferret Nation cage!! I love that cage!! So easy to get into and clean!! He will be spoiled rotten! Yes, that's why I came to this web site because of the raw diet!! Young ferrets adapt very quickly to a raw diet!! I had mine switched very fast but I was fortunate because he had been introduced to raw as a baby and was given raw meat occasionally so when I decided to switch him completely it was easy! I didn't even have to go to the beginning with any raw soup. I just gave him chunks. I even have him eating whole prey!! Start young and it should go pretty smooth!!
