Tiva's tail became yellow, so I was concerned that she could have adrenal disease. The veterinarian tested her urine and said she has a urinary tract infection and low protein count indicating kidney disease. They want me to drop her off in the morning to gas her and do a blood draw. I am really worried about the stress it will put her through. Does anyone have advice for me? She is around 5 years and 3 months old.

Try not to worry. Our older ferrets get gas to have des implants placed. Takes a few minutes to recover, but it's not as bad as IV anesthetic.

They'll be doing what is called a bump sedation. Basically putting her out, and bringing her right back around. She should be okay with that. As for adrenal, given her age I would assume she does indeed have it.
