Hello Hive mind,
One of our girls came into season, so I took her to the vet and got a Jill jab, with the plan being to implant them both early next spring.
Since bringing her home, she has lost some weight. She is still eating, and seems very well in all other regards.
Before the injection which was given to her last Tuesday she weighed 980g
Today she is down to 830g
Should I be concerned, or take her back to the vet. I need to make another appointment as her sister is now showing signs of being in season.
Cheers

So I checked with the vet today when I took Bandida in for her Jill jab. She says that it's certainly not uncommon to have some weight changes following the injection as it's a big dose of hormones, that they're not used to dealing with.
I weighed Ladrona again today and she has bounced back up to 910grams, so I think it might of just been a blip caused by the hormones.
I shall keep an eye on Bandida over the next few days to see if she goes through the same cycle.
Cheers
