I have a new little boy who I found out is allergic to beef but it seems like he's also allergic to pork so i'm struggling on what to feed him as a replacement for his organ meals as I mainly have access to pork parts. Are rooster fries (gonads) a good option? Our current menu:
Mon - Quail Tues - Duck/chicken neck , chicken/turkey gizzard Wed - Duck/chicken neck, chicken/beef heart Thur - Rabbit Fri - Duck/chicken neck, chicken/beef heart, Pork spleen (Any replacement ideas?), Beef/chicken liver. Sat - Duck/chicken neck, chicken/turkey gizzard Sunday - Duck/chicken neck, Beef/chicken liver, Pork kidney (Any replacement ideas?)

Testicles r considered organs as well as uterus of animals. Hare Today sells lamb organs (kidneys and liver). U have to get 10 lbs of products though. Can be a mix and match of stuff. Hare Today sells guinea pig grinds too with organs in them. I buy the whole guinea pigs. hare-today.com/Try your farmers market--I can get rabbit and rabbit organs at mine. My male threw up after eating them, so a no-go on rabbit totally, as he refuses to eat any rabbit meat--- very strange. If they sell lamb you probably can get the organs there. As far as lamb organs, I have to mix the liver and kidney in a blender and feed as a soupie. They will not eat it any other way. How about some mice? I get mine from Perfect Prey. They sell rats too. Shipping costs about 20.00 or thereabouts. perfectprey.com/

Oh right I forgot about hare today, If all else fails i'll just order from them. Thanks!
That is strange though so far one of my male ferrets refuses to eat treats but he'll devour anything else. Luckily my gang eat their organs with only little protest, except pork spleen they'll eat it but it's definitely a last resort in their mind lol.
Maybe i'll get to whole prey someday i'm such a wuss when it comes to that.

If he actually does have an allergy to beef, it will usually display as severe projectile vomiting within about 20 minutes of eating, followed by bloody diarrhea within an hour. Believe it or not(and it's really scary) the vomiting will resolve itself in about 30 minutes, but they will be exhausted. That being the case, also watch out for antelope, sheep, goat, buffalo, bison, basically any bovid animal. While those won't cause the same severe reaction, bloody stool is not uncommon with them. Other red meats may also cause sensitivities, though you'll have to try them to find out. If you DO have to stick with fowl, just increase the amount of liver by half to make up for other organs, as rabbit or fowl organs are going to be really difficult.

Sherry He projectile vomits almost immediately after any beef or pork, but I haven't noticed bloody stools, in one case he did have some diarrhea during the vomiting, It freaked me out the first time and I rushed him to the vet which the vet scolded me for raw feeding lol and gave him something to settle his stomach. So far he has been fine with rabbit and fowl.

Still indicative of an allergy Poor guy. And it is scary to watch. I was at work when my partner called me about it. By the time I got home, he had stopped thankfully and appeared to be okay, but tired.

Mouse is another meat you could try to introduce. Charlie isn't fond of chicken so I replaced that with mouse. And now because I give Charlie mice 3 times a week he gets heart as a meal and liver/kidney for another meal. I don't need to give him a third organ meal with 1/2 heart, 1/4 kidney and 1/4 liver. He gets that in his mice, according to the whole prey chart.
Charlie will eat beef so I've found beef heart instead because he doesn't always eat all his chicken hearts.

Charlie Hopefully i'll get there some day i'm just too tender hearted to feed whole prey. All my ferrets love chicken though, pretty interesting how much their tastes can differ.

Yeah it is interesting how their tastes vary and how some have issues while others don't.
