Hello everybody, I am John, 40 years old in Connecticut.
I do not have ferrets, but love them and want to eventually add some to my family. I would never buy an animal without doing extensive research so my pet could be properly cared for, and hqve found this board to be a great source of information. I felt I should register, and look forward to one day becoming a fellow ferret owner!

Hi John, welcome to the forum. Plenty of good information here to read whilst you plan your ferret adoption.
Cheers

I'm glad you are doing research because, omg are you in for it! The little buggers will take over your heart and never let go. I'm a 60 yo guy and I've been hooked 13 years. I'm at the point where I can step out of bed into cold poop and only cuss once. It was a process...

Hello!! I did the same thing and did a whole pile of research before getting my ferret!! You will be well prepared and know the do's and don't of ferret ownership and giving them the best life possible. They don't seem to be dealt with a very good hand with many illnesses that they can get. But the more you can provide for them, you are increasing their chances of a longer life!! That's why I came on here and started feeding raw for my little guy!! There are a lot of knowledgeable people here!!
