Our 3 year old ferret ruby has had squinty, pink, wet eyes for the past few weeks or so. We have just been assuming it’s allergies but I’m worried that we shouldn’t be making assumptions. She also has been to the kennel twice this summer, and they don’t require any vaccinations for ferrets.
She’s due for a check up so I’m planning to schedule one and bring her in sometime next week
Should I not wait, and bring her to the emergency vet today? Or does it sound like allergies?
Thanks Melissa

I would go to the vet---is there some other way you can have her taken care of than other than going to the kennel---like a friend or a family member stopping by each day to check on her while you are away?

Take her to the vet, but also have a think about any environmental changes that may of happened recently, even inadvertently.
New cage cleaners, essential oils, inscence burners, soap powder or even access to a different area of your house or garden?
Let us know how Ruby gets on.
Cheers

Vet. could be pink eye and it will only get worse.. eye drops will be the treatment for it, or maybe ointment, but it could get serious
