Hi all, Thought i'd share my experience of buying in my first ferret food order from Raw pet supplies in the UK. Currently it's all defrosting in the bath, then I'll be portioning it up and bagging later tonight.

So, after many hours of chopping, labelling and bagging i have the following ready for Bandida and Ladrona arriving later this week.
All bags are made up to 55g (so around 110g/4oz per day) but can add more seeing as they're youngsters. Will see how it balances out.
We have:
17 bags of chopped duck feet 16 bags of chopped lamb ribs 18 bags of chopped duck necks 19 bags of minced chicken carcass 20 bags of chopped Beef heart 16 bags of 1/2 Liver 1/2 Lambs lung 14 bags of 1/2 heart(Duck) - 1/4 Liver - 1/4 Lamb lung or Pig Kidney 28 bags of muscle meat - Either more Beef heart or Minced pork
Also bought some air dried lung too for treats/rewards.
Pretty pleased with the haul, everything was well packaged and labelled. Mostly double bagged in a sturdy cardboard box lined out with 1inch thick polystyrene sheeting. It was pretty much all still frozen on arrival and some of it remained frozen whilst i was chopping.
Cheers
Neil

Quick update.
So far they've eaten everything I have given them. The quality and consistency seems really good from Raw pet supplies. I'll obviously get a better idea when I place a second order.
The only thing that the girls where not 100% into was Liver, but they did eat pretty much all of it.
Cheers

Cheers ive just been looking at them and theyre so cheap compared to kizebrink, how much cheaper would you say it is compared to feeding kibble I have 2 now on selective which at max cost is 2kg for a tenner, did a mock order for price difference and it was around £21 for everything minus muscle chunks. im struggling to work out the minimal costs, usually the bag of kibble lasts minimum a month, maybe more where with 2 ferrets eating 7oz a day going off the site that's 1.5kg a week, that's nearly the bag full.

I'm not sure there's a lot between them in terms of costs.
I switched because it's better for them.
It jumps up in cost when you start feeding whole prey however. I have certainly noticed the difference.
I have just looked over my last few orders, which on average are around 1per month and they average at around £30 including the £6 postage.
Cheers

Cheers that's roughly what I got in price when I did a mock order of putting them in the basket it was £30 for one and £50 for two, also try furry feast www.furryfeasts.co.uk/you pay a little more in postage (£8) but their stock seems good

I ordered some stuff from them and it took longer to arrive than expected and was pretty much all defrosted on arrival.
The customer service and packaging is excellent with RPS.
RPS also stock furryfeast and kizebrink items.
Cheers
