So Finn's vet and I have come to the consensus that he likely had juvenile lymphoma. This makes sense for the timeline of his illness, seeing as how he was fine one day, very ill the next, and he passed away within 3 weeks of becoming symptomatic. However, the only thing his X-rays and ultrasound showed was that his liver was enlarged, but the vet didn't see any evidence of masses. His bloodwork also only showed elevated liver enzymes. So this has left me questioning whether it could have been something else. But then, I know symptoms of JL can be just about anything (Finn's lymph nodes weren't enlarged, and I know they usually aren't with JL). So I guess what I'm asking for is your experiences with juvenile lymphoma. How did it present/what were the symptoms? Was it localized or spread to multiple organs? How long did your ferret survive? This is for my own curiosity and research. It seems to be very difficult to find much information about this disease on the internet, and I'm interested in learning more. Thank you all

I"m so sorry I have dealt with JL. Unfortunately, there is rarely gives any chance of remission. Death occurs sometimes days and usually only a few weeks after diagnosis. Did you have a necropsy done to verify cause? This is the link my vet gave me to read www.2ndchance.info/lymphomaferret.htmciao

Thank you, Heather. It is such a devastating disease. Finn passed in less than a month after he first started showing symptoms. And no, unfortunately I wasn't able to afford a necropsy because of the extensive vet bills we had accrued just trying to get him diagnosed. We were at the vet *multiple* times in those few weeks. It's frustrating to not have a definitive answer, but his vet is pretty certain it was JL.
