Had a hiccup the past few days but he’s fine now-suddenly was only eating half his food for a day, then none at all, then half again, then back to eating everything immediately. I don’t know what happened. Last time he behaved this way was when I gave him the big dose of melatonin, but there’s been no change in what I’m giving him.

He's allowed an off day. At this point every day is a gift

I have to agree with unclejoe. Cherish every day you have with him, he's still with you for a reason. Winnie is a little fighter.

Yeah, he’s outlived the vet’s expectations many times over by this point, haha. I believe in him, though! I forgot to mention, I tried mixing the cream and meds together and offering it for lapping up, and he took it willingly (but begrudgingly) for maybe three days before refusing, and not wanting to waste meds doses, I elected to syringe the whole concoction into him, which was something like one and a half whole syringes full. That was a lot and he was gagging and fighting the whole time, his precious cream tainted and being forced down his throat. Went back to just shooting the meds into him and offering cream afterwards. He got nauseous on day two of doing this in the morning, but hasn’t been nauseous since.

Wow, his fur is getting there!! He just needs high socks! haha If you look at the picture on page 12 where he was sitting on your lap, you will really notice the difference!! He was pretty much naked in that picture and now he has mostly fur.

Ohhh I feel sick to my stomach, Winnipeg just had bloody diarrhea… my first thought was to take him in for scans to see if he has an ulcer in his intestines or maybe a blockage, but he’s at the end of his rope anyway, it would just be wasted money because I wouldn’t perform surgery on him at his age, I’d just have him put down if it was terminal and keep him alive if it was something like a hemorrhoid or a passable blockage. So we’re just gonna wait and see if he’s in pain and take it from there. It’s not digested black blood, it’s a fresh red.

He pooped twice overnight and both were loose and dark but not watery, and I smeared them with paper towels to check them out. Both had tinges of blood on the outside of the stool, not as bad as last night by far. I fed him pumpkin this morning to try and get a clearer picture against a lighter poop of where the blood mixes in.

Thank god, got home and started squishing Winnipeg’s poop apart and there was only the smallest smidgen of blood.

No amount of blood since. I wonder what it was, a hemorrhoid?
