Hi everyone,
I've been calling many places (e.g. USDA) looking for information on the requirements of bringing ferrets across the border (by car) into NY (heading to Ithaca), but nobody seems to know anything, they just give me more numbers to call.
Does anyone here have any experience bringing ferrets from Canada to the US? So far I'm just ensuring I have the usual pet documentation (a recent rabies vaccination and a health certificate issued before I leave).
Thanks in advance, Peter

I believe that's all we needed. Ours also came from Ontario but went thru Detroit

Thanks unclejoe, I think it will probably be the same going through to NY.

I crossed with my dog over the border and brought her into Canada. All you need is updated rabies since ferrets get those shots too. A health certificate is good too! You are all set!
