I took out a package of chicken from the freezer with the intent of giving it to my fur babies. It's been 4 days. The intent is still there but is the chicken still good? It doesn't smell bad or look bad but I read on the internet that thawed chicken should be cooked within 2 days; however, that would be for human consumption.
Thank you

Generally, if the ferrets won't eat it, it's contaminated. If you're using it to switch (won't know if the refusal is because the food is contaminated or if it's just the ferret not understanding it's food), I would be tempted to toss it ciao

Thanks Heather. I'm just going to toss it. No biggie. The raccoons in the backyard will surely take it.
