I am freaking out. On Tuesday Bossk threw up while playing with the other 5 ferrets and then went to sleep. I kept checking on him and he seemed ok and then I started noticing green diarrhea and learned that it was him doing it. I have been up all night worrying about him and the other 5 ferrets after reading a million things.
Should I make a emergency vet appointment or can this wait until Tuesday? I am waiting for all of them to wake up so I can see if he is actually eating. Also I'm going to take a stool sample of each ferret. I know he's drinking water. He doesn't act different. I think my boyfriend brought him outside and put him in the grass. I live in the country and there's sometimes animals on the property. I told him no more bringing anyone outside just incase it's from that. If it's coccidia will all 6 ferrets need to be treated? It's 4am here right now and ive had 2 hours of sleep and about 3 hours of crying. Help
Also I put this in the wrong section because I can't figure how to work Tapatalk right now

Has it happened a second time? Could he have eaten any grass? How does he seem to be feeling?

He only threw up once and he's still having diarrhea. I don't think he's eating. I tried to give him treats but he won't eat them (I buy orijen treats and he's really picky on the batches of them) my boyfriend is gone to get different treats and baby food today. I'm watching him closely and if he doesn't eat then I'm going to syringe feed him baby food. His diarrhea is now yellow.

I fell asleep because I haven't slept so I don't know if he ate. His diarrhea has gone back to dark green though. I'm laying in their room now and keeping notes of who's eating and I'm bagging poops just incase.

Did you bring a new ferret home recently? Or have you held other ferrets in a pet store recently? I hope your little guy is ok.

This sounds like ECE. Have you vetted your lad? He's going to need it, this is very serious ciao

Update: 2 other ferrets started having the diarrhea. I found a local mink and ferret guy and he said give them all pumpkin and wait a day before heading the vet... I would have had to wait a day or 2 anyways because it was a holiday weekend. I did that at night to all 3 that were sick and the next day they were eating and pooping normal. There has been no issues and they are all extra hyper.... Even broke into the couch cushion and found a new way to climb to the top of the cage.

It could have been a viral outbreak which might have had to just had to go it's course (flu). Watch closely. As all came down with it after the first, I would definitely consider a viral outbreak, it's just a matter of what. Watch them closely as you may have one that is more affected than the others and may not be eating as well ciao
