Our 3 new furkids came with a FN 2 storey, but without ramps or the bottom base wheeled piece. If I buy the single level that does come with the base wheeled unit, can I just put it on the bottom, and then have a 3 level unit for them? Or is it some sort of fixed unit?

It all depends on if you can add the FN you have now to the top of the single unit you would buy. What does the bottom for your FN look like that you have now? I'm not sure if the holes will be the same to add it on top of the single unit.
You would have to remove the top of the new single unit but the problem would be that you won't have a hole in the floor of the one you have now to stack on top of the new one. The ferrets won't be able get from the single unit to the double unit. Usually with the add on you have the floor with the hole in it and the top would come from the first FN cage.

The bottom of the unit I have now has the pegs that would fit into the wheeled base.

I think you might be able to add that on top of a single unit because that would be the floor but you still would have the problem if not having a hole in the floor for them to go from the single unit on the bottom to the double unit on top

The habitat actually came with the one floor with the cutout and the pan with the cutout, so I THINK i'll be OK. Sorry, forgot to mention that part in the OP. I'm thinking bottom level has the cutout floor over it, and the double unit as just one big open unit with the 1/2 tray setup and a bunch of climbing accessories?

Hi there and welcome Is the cage held together with screws? That would make it an older 141 or 142, which may not be compatible with the newer 181/182. If there are no screws. you could buy a new bottom unit with the shelf and rollers and it will fit together. You'll just eliminate one floor panel.

Yes the cage with the cut out sits on top Does your Ferret Nation cage have a label on the door? (182,181,183) Here is some info about making a triple Ferret Nation. www.ferretnation.org/ferret-nation-183-add-cage/The 183 is the add-on piece that you buy when you want to expand.
