I made a post awhile back on reddit (and possibly here?) about my ferret having seedy poos after adding Wysong Epigen 90 to his diet of Marshall's premium (I'm trying to use it up) He was also suffering from Giardia (intestinal parasite) at the time which I thought may be contributing to it, but he is clean from the parasite and still having the same stools after 7 weeks of me adding the Wysong food. They are light brown/yellowish and very seedy. They sometimes smell metallicy but no blood is present. Occasionally, he will have a nice looking brown poo but it's usually seedy and yellow.
My new ferret is also eating the same mix of foods and he went from having nice brown stools (from just Marshall premium) to the same yellowish and seedy with the metallic smell. Today, he actually passed a greenish slimey poo, which is unlike him and I was worried about ECE but he has been very normal, happy and playful. Also eating and drinking a good amount.
Any help is appreciated! Wondering if I should eliminate the Wysong food completely. I do like the formula, but maybe it isn't agreeing with my ferrets. Would it be terrible to have them on Marshall's premium? I know it's not the cream of the crop, but it seems to be easy on their tummies. Thank you xx

The normal version of Epigen 90 was well known to cause digestive problems with many ferrets as soon as they made a major change to their recipe. Wysong eventually released a "digestive support" version more similar to the original recipe that causes fewer problems.

I only fed kibble for a very short time with my ferret. I used Orijen kitten & cat food chicken flavour. I switched mine to raw so he didn't even have the whole bag. The rest of the bag I fed to my cat.
If you are going to keep them on kibble, you are better off going to a high quality cat food like Origen kitten & cat food, but definitely get them off Marshall's food. That will only cause insulinoma down the road. Ferrets don't eat sugar. I don't know much about Wysong because I couldn't find it in my area.
How long have you had your new ferret? Sometimes their stool can change from stress too.
