Hi guys, last night I switched my two ferrets from wysong kibble to a frozen commercial raw diet, and this morning I woke up to a poop like this. (sorry picture is kinda gross.) they are playful as ever and are eating just fine, I'm just worried about how the poop looks. The Ingredients to the food are also below however it was liquid when i gave it to them.
Do you hydrate your FD? I don't know much about the stuff but the stool looks dry like kibble poops and it appears to have undigested bone? veggies? considering there is sweet potatoes and apple maybe that's what it is? It doesn't appear to be horrible. My concern would be how dry it is....but if you're not hydrating then it looks like kibble stools so would probably be fine ciao
I was hydrating it but it also had unhydrated bits in it too, they are peeing like normal, but another one of my concerns is that their poops are getting smaller they are still thick (I was worried about intestinal blockage) they still have the white bits but are about as long as a finger nail.
Small poohs show they are absorbing nutrition from what I understand from forum. They say this is normal. When they get pencil lead thin or rather skinny then there can be an issue ---but thick sounds good.
