I've been raising ferrets for over 8 years. I have never had problems with breeding, I have tried to do things the best I can but now I want to improve.
I would like to know your opinions about how to have ferrets. I have seen that many of you use large parks. throughout the year? keep the ferrets together (males and females) always?
I count as I do. my cages are divided into 2 large departments where I try to have 2 females for each male. at the time of heat I separate them and together the female with the male that interests me and when she shows pregnancy symptoms I separate her individually. how do you do?
I had thought of remodeling the cages and having females on one side and males on the other (controlling that they do not fight) as you can see?
I'll add more questions as the subject progresses

I ran it through Google translate:
I have been raising ferrets for over 8 years. I have never had problems with reproduction, I have tried to do things as well as I can, but now I want to improve.
I would like to know your opinions on how to have ferrets. I have seen that many of you use large parks. throughout the year? keep the ferrets together (men and women) always?
I tell how I do it. My cages are divided into 2 large departments where I try to have 2 females for each male. At the moment of the heat I separate them and together the female with the male that interests me and when it shows symptoms of pregnancy I separate it individually. How do you do it?

i think what Ju is trying to say is this : I have been raising ferrets for over 8 years. I have never had problems with breeding, I have tried to do things as well as I can, but now I want to improve.
I would like to know your opinions on how to Raise/breed ferrets. I have seen that many of you use large enclosures/cages throughout the year? can i keep the ferrets together (boys and girls) at all times?
I'll tell you how I do it. My cages are divided into 2 large areas where I try to have 2 females for each male. At the onset of heat I separate the girls and keep the female that interests me together with the male. then when that female shows symptoms of pregnancy I separate her into her own cage. How could i improve?
I had thought about remodeling the cages and having the females on one side and the males on the other (controlling that they did not fight) as you can see.
I will add more questions as the subject progresses.
is this what you meant? if so i'm glad to have helped translate for you

Thank you. Sometimes translate looses a lot in the "translation" I keep my jills and hobs separate except during the winter, when those that play well together get to relax and be brats together. They're actually in different locations in the house while they're in season. Each group has their own playspace, and outdoor spaces which they get access 24/7. I choose which jill(s) I decide to breed and then bring the jill to the given hob when the timing is correct. They then visit for 2 days and are then separated. Jills continue to live with their friends until about 10 days prior to gestation then they're placed in the nursery to create their nests in their chosen areas. This is how my guys work and it seems to work ok for me ciao

I understand, it has helped me a lot. I do not understand or find translation for jills and hobs, what would it be? how many times do you get them in heat every year?

Jill is a female ferret and hob is a male ferret.

I also forgot to mention I do not breed every year and make use of a vasectomised hob to bring my wee girls out of season rather than a jill jab. ciao

thanks for the answers, I also do not cover all my ferrets every year. I use a vasectomized ferret. Will you control when you want a ferret to come out in heat? my ferrets come out in spring all, and just on that date is when I need to work more with them.

Are you asking if I manipulate when my girls come into season? Like using lighting and temps? I may have misunderstood. It's one of the problems of using a translator ciao

Hi Heather leaves it up to natural light to decide when her jills come into season ( as do I ) using artificial light can cause health problems further down the line jills kept under normal daylight conditions can come into season 2 or 3 times per year depending on when there first season occurred some older jills may only come into season once hope this helps Bev

I use natural season. My boys usually start to come in around the winter solstice with my girls following a couple of months later. As the lighting increases and the season starts to warm up my guys all come in. As far as coming out at the end of the season again, it's up to nature. Usually I start to see everyone coming out of season by the end of July. By the end of August all my guys have started playing and enjoying each other's company as friends instead of sexual partners. ciao
