Hi my name is Jennifer. I am new to owning ferrets but not new to ferrets in general. Having grown up in California I could never have one. I got my new boy Orion on Friday. He is only 2 1/2 months old. He will pee in his litter box but not poo. I am hoping I have fixed that problem by moving the litter box to where he poops. putting a harness on him has been a no go cause even at its smallest he can get out of it. I am having issues with biting though. He bites when being picked up or at any time.

Hello! If you just got Orion he may be biting because he is in a new environment. Give him a few days to adjust. I know mine did when I first brought him home. I also used salmon oil to win him over by giving him a couple drops. Lol Also when they are babies like that they will bite but what I did was, when he was out playing and he bit, I would leave him alone. He didn't like that much because he had no one to play with. Some people will give their ferrets time out and put them in a small carrier. That didn't work for me. He found a way to amuse himself. Lol
