Fingers crossed for your little dude! Where do you live? You mentioned the lower mainland so do you live in Vancouver? I went to a vet here that was able to come in and operate on our dude on a weekend. I also know of a competent vet that I trust

tell them you need a barium xray. Regular ones won't show soft blockages.

As of last night, I found him eating kibble and drinking water. I've been keeping up with his medicines. He's still not having regular poops but they're no longer a clear mucus. Instead they are a little chunky and forest green.
I haven't seen him throw up any longer. I did syringe some really watered down "Duk soup" into his mouth every few hours (he wouldn't take much and I didn't want to over stress him) yesterday to make sure he stayed hydrated and had some nutrients since I didn't see him eat on his own until last night.
I still plan on calling my vet first thing tomorrow when they open back up and seeing if she will do an emergency check up with him tomorrow. I'll keep you updated on the stool tests that I should also be getting back tomorrow.

Oh wow, I didn't see the second page of comments until I sent my last message. I live in Surrey bishop24 if you could send me the info on your vet I'd really appreciate it!

There is Eagle Ridge animal hospital in Coquitlam. They did surgery for my guy. They used to hav a vet there that was good with ferrets but he retired. They can still have good vets but they just aren’t super knowledgeable with ferrets. They helped fit Flint in for emergency surgery when he had bladder stones and were quick to diagnose him so I’m grateful.
Then there is dewdney trunk animal hospital in maple ridge. The vet there is awesome and has a lot of experience with ferrets and mink. He actually owned ferrets and supports the whole raw feeding thing. I trust his opinion and he is our go to vet.

Thank you, bishop24 I just called but only got an answering service who said I would have to call tomorrow to get him in, if I can.

I wish you luck! Did you call dewdney trunk? I don’t think it will be hard to get in there ASAP because it’s always been quiet there when I’ve been. Eagle ridge is always busy on the other hand, but they make exceptions for emergencies.
I’m thinking about the little dude and I have my fingers crossed that he’ll be ok!

Yes, I contacted Dewdney trunk. That's where I got the answering service. I did send an email to Dr. Walton explaining the situation and he said after such a long weekend he's packed for tomorrow. He has taken the time to email me a couple things and offer his assistance in answering questions from my vet if need be.
Thank you for the kind wishes.. It really means a lot. I just want him to be okay.

We are heading to the hospital in an hour for his Barium X-ray. They said they will be holding on to him for the day. I will keep you all posted as I hear from them. Pray for us 🙏🏼❤️

Thank you so much, bandit . So he's been back, through the barium Xray it doesn't look like there is a blockage. What Dr. Walton suggested was that through the images that I emailed him his thoughts are Eosinophilia Gastritis and IBD.

Another update: I caught Kingsley eating twice this morning. For once I can’t differentiate whose poops are whose in the litter box. They all look good. I know the battle isn’t over but I’m so happy I want to cry.

That’s so great to hear! I’m sooo happy it’s not a blockage. Those are life and death things :/ Eat and poop your little heart out little man!
Now I guess it’s trying to figure out what it is. I would suggest writing out everything he does to try and find a correlation between him not feeling well and whatever it is. It could also help you notice some early warning signs before he gets sick.
Have you been in to see dr Walton yet? He would probably have a much better idea on what to do.
Message me too if you ever want to talk or meet up?! I have only ever seen one other person with a ferret around here but they moved away 😕
