I just got a new little girl this past Saturday. She's a raw fed Ferret. Right now I'm feeding her a Cornish Hen. I need help with the organ part. She eats the skin, meaty parts and bones. She's a Marshalls ferret so she is small.
How do I measure out the right amount of organ meet and other meats she needs to be healthy?
On a side note I give her a couple of dog treats and freeze dried beef treats.
Also she eats very little and tries to hide the rest. How long can I keep her food where she hides til I should take it away?

Have you taken a look at the frankenprey menu? If you haven’t I highly suggest you take a read! It’s a super helpful tool for getting your raw diet figured out. Heart is one of the most important organs because of the taurine so definitely make sure you aren’t missing that one! If you don’t already have one I’d suggest getting a small food scale to weigh out your meats for portion control. If you are having trouble figuring out the raw diet this forum offers mentors that can help you out. It’s very important for their raw diets to be balanced!! Hope this kind of helps holisticferretforum.com/natural-diet/raw-diet-the-meat-of-the-site/basic-frankenprey-menu/As for stashed meats I usually sweep and clean up every day or two. They won’t eat it once it’s gone bad so it’s really just a matter of how tolerant you are to the smell of raw meat. I definitely don’t recommend leaving any stashed meat for more than a week though.... last month my ferrets unknowingly chewed a hole in my box spring and started storing raw meats in there while I was on vacation (they had a babysitter) when I got home it smelled HORRIBLE.

Figure out about how much she eats in a week. To do that, weigh her food when put in the cage, and weigh what is left over at next meal time. Do that for every meal for a week and you will have an average. She'll get about 10% of that total as heart, and 10% liver/other organ. Or- just give her one full meal heart, one full meal liver/other organ, and one meal half heart, half liver/other organ As she is a tiny girl, don't be surprised if she doesn't eat much more than an ounce or two daily
