I'm so sorry about Finley. I want to let you know that you absolutely did the right thing. It is the last kindness, the last gift we can give our pets, to let them go when they are suffering instead of making them stay for us. Hemophilia is not something anyone can recover from (and it's unusual! I've never heard of it in a ferret). I'm glad you were sensitive to Pretzel's grieving and that you've done so much to help her.
Oliver might have Waardenburg syndrome, but I wouldn't assume that necessarily means problems. Ferrets are very luck of the draw. You could have a Marshall's Waardie that lives to a ripe old age, or a breeder ferret that has problems despite all the care that went into them. I know it's hard, but try not to worry too much about it. Just focus on how much Pretzel is enjoying her new friend and how you have helped her. It's OK if you don't bond right away. Oliver sounds very happy in his new household, and you are a great ferrent.

I am so sorry about your Finley passing. Like Blue, I think you did the right thing by helping your little one pass. May your thoughts soon turn to happy smiles when thinking of him. (I have a Blaze---she is very smart and full of energy. She is 3yrs old---no problems so far healthwise). not the best potty goer--tho. But it is ok

I am so very sorry for your loss Losing one so young is horrid. But I'd not worry overly about your blaze(or even panda had you got him). As for getting various cancers it's the luck of the draw. Yes, a raw diet can reduce/almost eliminate insulinoma. Yes, keeping intact and in natural lighting cycles can reduce/eliminate adrenal. But that's about all the impact we have. Fingers crossed all your little ones live to nice ripe old ages.

I'm sorry you lost Finley so young. Don't feel guilty. I would have done the same. It's never an easy decision, but you did right by Finley to end his suffering.
I'm glad the Oliver and Pretzel hit it off. Not all blazes are deaf. We've only had 2 blazes and 1 was deaf. They both lived past 5 years. we didn't know the exact age of one, and the other was 7.
Our Marshall's now eat a mix of raw and decent kibble. 4 of them will be 6 this year, and only 1 is being treated for insulinoma. Her BG was borderline and she's on a low dose of pred. No one has adrenal signs but all were implanted at 5 years old.
